San Miguel River
The experienced guides at San Miguel Anglers welcomes all levels of fly-fishers to join us on the San Miguel River for a fishing experience you will never forget. With the most extensive National Forest Service permits in the Telluride Region, our guides will select certain waters based on angler preference, level of experience, water conditions, and current hatches.
The San Miguel River begins above the historic town of Telluride and continues through the southwest until it converges with the Dolores River and ultimately flows into the mighty Colorado River. The San Miguel is one of the last free flowing, untamed rivers in Colorado. The fertile San Miguel offers tremendous hatches of Caddis and Stoneflies. Hiding in the long, slow runs and deep pools are wild and abundant rainbows, browns, cutthroat, and brook trout. It is easy to find solitude and a variety of water on the San Miguel River.
